knew that I wanted my wedding business to be a little different.... I didn't want my brides being surprised with who they were going to have on the wedding day... I wanted to have a second shooter... not hire different second shooters. This was VERY important to me... I wanted this person to become a part of my brand... my business... and be long term. 
 
Almost 3 years ago - I began my search for a second shooter. Insert Jessie.... I knew IMMEDIATELY that I was going to hire her... she showed up REALLY early to our meeting AND had already begun eating chips and salsa without me.... She was being herself... we sat at that table for THREE HOURS... and talked... and then I invited her to a session with me where she assisted... and even went barefoot if I remember correctly.... Jessie worked with me for an amazing year -- until we decided that she was starting to lose who SHE was as an artist trying to shoot for me... we had completely different shooting styles - and we knew our business-ship had come to an end... Jessie is still one of my dearest friends... and that year working with her wouldn't have been the same with someone else... We traveled all over and became life-long friends! 
 
In 2013 -- I hosted another round of interviews.... which is when Ashley joined the SEP team.... I'm not even sure I've ever publicly announced this -- but Ashley and I are actually sister-in-laws... I've always been hesitant saying that because I don't want ANYONE to think she got special treatment... in fact, I probably was even HARDER on her because of it... but I remember walking away from her interview thinking.. holy crap... she did amazing... it was a no-brainer that I wanted her to join the team... So here we are.... 2 years later and she is such an important part of Sharon Elizabeth Photography.... 
 
Ashley is officially the Associate Photographer for SEP.... and she already has close to 10 weddings on the books for next year... That's AMAZING... When Ashley isn't shooting her own SEP weddings -- she'll be with me as the Second Shooter.... 
 
Our other second shooter is Meghan... I've known Meghan for 3-4 years now I believe.... Meghan is like my little sister... and she has mentored with me... assisted me at sessions... and last year while I was pregnant -- she came to the Studio and assisted me.. she ran errands for me... and now... now she's at my home watching Ava for me... she's assisting us at weddings.. and next year she'll be Second shooting.... 
 
But who's this new chick.... Emily.... Emily is officially the new wedding assistant for SEP.... she went through an application process and then interview process with Ashley and I earlier this Fall.... I'm SO excited that she's joining our team -- I hope she knows what she's in for... and I hope she knows she's in for life... :) 
 
So let's be honest... who in the world are these girls.... 
 
Ashley can be SUPER quiet -- and some people think she's rude or stuck-up... but I can tell you first hand... she's an introvert to the world.. and an extrovert to those she holds close.... She has a soft-sweet voice and it's hilarious when she cusses... I can't ever take her cussing seriously... I can laugh at ANYTHING and EVERYTHING with this girl... she's fiesty.... caring to a fault... and one of my favorite people in the world.... 
 
Meghan is SUPER bubbly -- and some people think she's fake.... but I can tell you first hand.... she means what she says... she really is happy 99% of the time... and she makes all of us happier just by knowing her... she's my favorite fake little sister in the world.... 
 
Emily IS super shy -- and some people might think she can be walked all over.... but I can tell you first hand... don't mess with THE EMILY... she's a tough cookie and she's affectionate... and loyal... and will go to the end of the earth for you.... but she'll do it in a meek-sweet girl little voice...  
 
These girls put up with ME.... and I know some people think I'm mean.... and sarcastic... and that I floss too much and I'm sure the list goes on... but these girls love ME... and they love SEP... and together we make up an AMAZING team...  
 
We have SO MUCH DAMN FUN working together.... I don't think any of us can imagine working without each other.... 
 
So here we are.... the Sharon Elizabeth Photography Team.... we're goofy - ridiculous - and I might be stretching a little bit... but I think we're a lot of fun to be around!!!
