Laura Rahel Crosby: I am so excited to start taking the journey towards making it more than a hobby. Just had my first workshop and made my first goal of buying my first prime lens last week. I feel pretty confident in knowing my camera finally so I'll probably stick with my current body for a long time as money to invest into my passion is scarce. I never shoot in auto :D And finally know how to shoot in manual (I always shot in Aperture mode before.) I know I still have such a long way to go and so much to learn and invest but I made the decision pursue it as more than a hobby and I am excited for the journey. Though sometimes I wish I could just fast forward through the struggle and arrive to where I am talented and in demand haha  December 14, 2012 at 12:03 PM
Monica Justesen Photography: Couldn't have said it better myself! I absolutely agree. It is an uphill (and very pricey) battle to get your feet on the ground when starting a photography business, but without that initial investment (both of your time and financially), there's little to no chance of having a real shot at succeeding. You get out of it what you put in, in every sense.  December 14, 2012 at 10:47 AM
